About US Captains Training

US Captains Training sells online Coast Guard captain’s license courses — the OUPV (Six-Pack) at $595 and the 100-Ton Master at $795 — plus $295 upgrades to 100-Ton Master and Master/Mate 200 Ton, endorsements, renewals and FCC radio-license courses. Courses are self-paced, never expire and include a book package, and each ends in an online final exam proctored by a live person over Google Meet, with three attempts included.

Its $1,445 Premium Bundle adds instructor-led virtual classes twice a week and application preparation and submission by Diamond Marine Services. The school says its online exam is approved by the Coast Guard in place of testing at a regional exam center; we have not yet checked it against the National Maritime Center’s approved-course list.
