Teach boating? Send us a short listing inquiry and we’ll reply by email.
Last updated:
A listing puts your school in our directory, where boaters compare courses by type and by state. To be listed, send the inquiry form on this page; we review it, verify your courses, and reply by email.
What does a listing on BoatingClasses.com mean?
A listing is a profile of your school or course in our independent directory: what you teach, where and how (online or in person), and the approvals your courses hold. It appears on the category and state pages where boaters look for a course like yours.
Does a listing change how we rate you?
No. Ratings and rankings are editorial and never for sale. Featured placement is always labeled as featured. Our affiliate disclosure explains how the site is funded.
How do I send a listing inquiry?
Tell us about your school. The message is optional.
Listing your school — FAQ
- Can a school pay for a better rating?
- No. Our editorial ratings, pros and cons, and rankings are decided independently of any payment. Featured placement, where offered, is always labeled as featured and kept visually separate from our own assessments, so readers can always tell the difference.
- What happens after I send a listing inquiry?
- We read every inquiry and reply by email, usually with a few questions about the courses you offer, where you teach, and whether your courses are state- or USCG-approved. We verify what we publish against official sources before a listing goes live.
- Who can be listed?
- Schools and course providers that teach boating in the United States: state boater-safety courses, captain’s-license schools, sailing schools, powerboat and PWC training, paddlesports instruction, and professional credentials. Online and in-person providers are both welcome to send an inquiry.
